Camera Accessories
These days it seems as though every major camera manufacture has been trying to outdo its competitors when it comes to creating a new camera accessory. All camera manufactures want to create camera accessories that are unique, useful, and as affordable as possible. These camera accessories are aimed at all types of camera users from the busy professional photographer to the parent who uses their camera only to take pictures of playing children.
One of the most standard camera accessories (Kamerazubehör) is the camera case. Almost all camera owners have a case of some sort for their camera to keep it safe from harm. For smaller cameras popular with teens and young adults there are many small, stylish, very colorful cases available perfect for storing a small digital camera. Other, larger, cases with a more traditional look and feel are great for storing cameras that require film. Some cases that are designed for traditional cameras have enough space to safely store several rolls of film and batteries if they are needed.
There are larger camera storage options available to the more professional photographers. Camera case backpacks are popular with a lot of photographers, especially ones that travel or do a lot of outdoor photography. These backpacks are often weather proof so you no longer have to fear your camera getting exposed to the wet, cold, or in some cases extreme heat. The backpacks often have room for additional accessories and equipment that many traveling professional photographers have to carry with them.
Docking stations are another great accessory that is extremely popular with digital cameras. Since most digital cameras have timers these docking stations can be used to mount a camera on nearly any surface. These stations are useful for taking family portraits with timer settings so that the entire family can be in the photograph. Also many docking stations can be used to mount a digital camera on a laptop or computer monitor. This can be extremely useful for those who use their digital cameras as web cameras.
Tripods are a more secure and versatile docking or mounting method for cameras. A tripod is usually recommended to artists and photographers that take self portraits. They are extremely useful when it comes to self portraits since they allow for a wider variety of shot angles and positions. Many photographers encourage models taking self shot sets or photographs to use tripods whenever possible to produce the most professional results.
Another example of the more recent camera accessories made available are the remote control. Many camera manufactures are now making remote controls that can be used with their products in place of traditional timers. Remote controls used with a tripod can be a powerful combination. Mounting a camera on a tripod and taking the actual photo with the remote help reduce hand shaking and tremor. Regardless of how wonderful a photographer is after a long day of working the hands and arms can get tired and a remote used with a tripod can help ensure that all shots come out picture perfect.
