Plisse jalousie for software engineers
Plisse jalousien are pleated blinds that allow the user to control the amount of sunlight and/or air that enters a room through the window. The jalousie is a parallel slat that sits horizontally in the window frame. These slats are typically made of glass, steel or metal.
The slats allow the user to open them to the precise angle that is needed in order to block or allow sunlight and fresh air to enter a room. A plisse jalousie is one that has been covered in fabric to give it a more pleasing look. Software engineers find plisse jalousies to be not only attractive but also very beneficial to their work.
Since plisse jalousies (Plissee Rollos) allow the user to block out sunlight, air and a certain level of noise software engineers have found that they can concentrate more and perform their tasks under much less interruption and distraction. Plisse jalousies allow the user to choose the amount of fresh air that enters a room, so if they have been working long hours, software engineers can have a bit of fresh air to keep them feeling energized. They can also determine the amount of direct sunlight that comes in.
This can be very beneficial when working on the computer. Often direct sunlight (sonnenschutz) can cause a glare on the computer screen. By implementing plisse jalousies, the software engineer can block sunlight or choose to tone it down to a level that does not interfere with the screen. This can help them to view the screen much more clearly virtually erasing the accidental mistakes that may come about as a result of sunlight filtering onto the screen. By reducing the amount of noise, airflow and direct sunlight that comes into their work space, software engineers can help to ensure their concentration during their workday.
